To register your child for Intro to Hockey it is recommended to first complete the Respect In Sport - Parent program (RIS). This online program is mandated by Hockey Alberta for all sanctioned events and requires one parent from each family complete the course. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete and has a cost of around $12.00 plus GST. If you have taken this course previously for another child in hockey please follow the link to the course and log your RIS-Parent account, click on Profile and Child Management and make sure all of your children are added there. When this is complete you will receive a certificate number which you will need for registration. RIS is good for 4 years.
In addition to entering your RIS ID number, you will also be required to upload a copy of the child’s birth certificate and a current utility bill to confirm residency and a Parent/Guardian Declaration. Forms must be scanned as separate files, not all together and will need to be uploaded during registration in the "Registration Uploads" section of the registration system. At the completion of registration you will receive an email confirming that the registration was received. Further information on above start dates and times will be emailed and posted on the Intro to Hockey Team Page.
To Register:
Please note, the guardian information is what will be used for contact information by the Association, Directors, Coaches and Team staff. Please do not list emergency contact information in this area (the guardian's information listed on the current player's registration is what is transferred to the website and Hockey Canada Registry for all communications with the Association for a player). If you have any questions regarding the information above, please contact the registrar at registrar@sturgeonhockeyclub.com.
If you have read the above information, completed and scanned the required registration paperwork to a PDF file, please click the Sturgeon Hockey Club Registration System to start the registration process.
If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact the Registrar by the above email.
