Groups

Players are divided into groups within their age division. Click on the SHC Development Camp Groups to see your player's grouping and their coach/assistant coach during the camp.

Please read the MLC Arena Facility Guidelines 02/21 which includes updated protocols for all players/coaches. Highlights include:

  • Spectators are not permitted, only players and coaches are allowed to enter the facility.
  • All athletes will be dropped off at the front doors and will proceed inside the MLC.
  • To the extent possible, attendees should arrive dressed and ready to participate. Access to dressing/locker rooms should be limited wherever possible to washrooms and emergency access (e.g., first aid).
  • Masks are mandatory in all indoor public places, except during the training activity. Coaches and trainers must remain masked at all times.
  • Youth group training is not a cohort. Distance must always be maintained in these groups.
  • Each team has 30 minutes prior to their booking time to get ready allowing for only final preparations before enter the training area (e.g. putting on skates and goalie gear).
  • Players entering the building should check the Dressing Room Assignment Board to see what dressing room is allocated to their team.  They MUST go directly to their assigned dressing room.No congregating in lobby or atrium. Please leave pathway in and out of building and hallways clear for other users.
  • Parents must complete the COVID-19 Checklist on Team Snap prior to their player entering the facility before EACH ice session.

SHC members will be required to follow all facility guidelines set out by the MLC which will include players arriving fully dressed (with the exception of goalie gear) with skates on (unless players are fully independent at tying their own skates) and entering/exiting the building with their coach/assistant coach (no parents/guardians will be allowed entry unless they are an on-ice coach).

*Please note, if a player chooses to withdraw from the development camp after February 14, 2021 or in the event that COVID-19 restrictions do not permit on-ice groups sports activities at any time during the development camp, your registration fee is non-refundable due to the ice and planning costs associated with running a development program. No exceptions.

Should you have any questions, please contact Kevin Huot, Hockey Operations Director at hockeyopsdirector@sturgeonhockeyclub.com or Neil Hanssen at leaguesdirector@sturgeonhockeyclub.com.

Have fun on the ice!
