New Indoor Masking Mandate

As per the recent announcement by the Government of Alberta, a new indoor masking mandate will be effective September 4 at 8 am.

The MLC has released the following guidelines in response to this new mandate:

-Masks are required in the Morinville Leisure Centre
-Face Coverings are not required when engaged in physical activities (ie: on ice)
-Where possible, consider giving yourself and each other 2 metres of distance
-Please use hand sanitizers provided
 
There will be disposable masks available at Guest Services if people need one when they enter the building. For more information, visit Alberta Health

Hockey Alberta is interpreting the mandate as follows:

-Face masks are not required by any player on the ice or on the players’ bench.
-Face masks are not required by coaches or on-ice officials on the ice surface during sport/ physical activity.
-Face masks are required by coaches and team staff while on the bench, and by all penalty/ timekeeping staff.
-Face masks are required by everyone while in a dressing room.
