Season's Greetings

Dear Sturgeon Hockey Club Families,

It’s crazy to think that we are at the halfway point of our season already! It’s been a fantastic season so far and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the season goes for our entire SHC family.

I would like to thank all our dedicated volunteers for your contributions and tireless commitment to provide our SHC players and families every opportunity to participate in the game we all love in a uniquely structured and safe environment. We have made great strides so far this season in growing many aspects of the game and I look forward to seeing the results as we move through the rest of this season and future seasons to come. All of this wouldn’t be possible without the efforts of our passionate members, so thank you!

We have seen so many great accomplishments on the ice but some of the greatest highlights from the season thus far have been off the ice. I feel being a part of a minor hockey association and team teaches our kids so many life lessons that are transferable to whatever they decide to do as they progress through their lives. Learning the importance of giving back to those in need or just simply putting a smile on community members faces is one of the greatest life lessons we can teach our kids. These lessons have been shown by countless SHC teams already this season by doing their part to give back to our communities by conducting food drives, waste collection, visiting long term care facilities and participating in the Morinville Lite Up the Nite parade and many other fantastic initiatives. Well done Sturgeon Hockey!

Over this holiday season, I hope you have an opportunity to gather with friends, family, and loved ones and that the time spent away from the rink is one of fulfillment, joy and happiness.
